Annika is a local from Orange County. She began dancing at the age of three in a variety of styles ranging from ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and tumbling. She instructs dance classes for all ages, spreading the love and passion for dance. Since then she has continued her studies in dance at the University California Irvine; pursuing a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Bachelor’s in Anthropology. Coming from a movement background, she began practicing yoga at the age of 15 and has not stopped since! Annika has received her 200 hour yoga certification and completed an extended 50 hour training. Currently, Annika teaches at Kaia fit OC- as a yoga instructor and fitness coach. As a movement enthusiast, she believes in the importance of staying active, being positive, and utilizing the body to achieve the unimaginable! A little bit about Noble Ale Works! A variety of full-flavored beers offered at a microbrewery and tasting room in an industrial area. All that to say ... we love beer! So much so that we spend the majority of our waking hours brewing, pouring, and drinking beer - sometimes all at the same time! We were established in 2009 and started brewing in 2011. We take a ton of pride in what we do, and we're lucky to be able to spend our days constantly pursuing good times and better beer.

We will be in Dance Studio (ds) 120! (It is located in the Claire Trevor Theatre Building, across the street from the Bren Events Center!) Edgar Aguirre will teach a Hip-Hop workshop: 7pm-8pm! Jazley Faith will teach a Salsa workshop: 8pm-9pm! $3 per class OR $5 for both!!! Cash or Venmo at the door!!! Join us on October 21st for Move to Change Day: a global day to encourage all kinds of movers to move! Movement Exchange at UC Irvine is hosting this event in the hopes of uniting dance enthusiasts across the nation to show support and celebrate the power of dance. Move To Change Day will raise awareness and funds to sustain weekly dance classes for children in the Panamanian orphanages we serve. Anyone who has a passion for dance, service, and arts education is welcome to “Move To Change.”
Our event includes three parts: Part one is a Jazz dance workshop taught by Jacob Boarnet and Annika Alejo, members of UCI's Bare Bones Dance Theater Part two is a guest lecture by Dr. Kelli Sharp who uses dance as a model for re-training people to improve motor function after SCI and stroke.
